Read More News & Announcements Kindergarten AMI Lessons Act 862 0f 2017 allows a public school and open-enrollment public charter school to develop a plan for alternative methods of instruction (AMI) to be used on days when the superintendent closes school due to exceptional or emergency circumstances. The Clarksville School District has been approved for 5 days of alternate instruction. The purpose of these days, is for students, faculty, and staff to work from home. Students will review and/or extend learning that has been previously presented during classroom instruction. Using these AMI days, will prevent us from attaching these days to the end of the school year. The superintendent will alert all staff and parents about the AMI day and give appropriate instructions via our Alert Now all-call system. Any scheduled day that Clarksville Public Schools are not in session due to inclement weather or other cause, each Clarksville Primary Student is to work with their parent(s) on the assigned work for that day. The AMI packet is located in the folder/binder that your child carries home daily in their back pack. Assignments are labeled AMI Day1, AMI Day 2, AMI Day 3, AMI Day 4, and AMI Day 5. Students will return the completed work with parent signature for the assigned AMI Day when they return to school. In the event of school being closed for several days, students and parents will continue to work through the packet for or up to five (5) days. A hard copy of the assignment(s) have placed in your child’s folder/binder. Parents may also view and download the AMI Day assignments on the Web Page (k1.csdar.org) Staff will be available to assist students or parents and answer any questions they may have concerning their assignments through the school email from 8:00 AM -3:00 PM. Assignments will be due two (2) days after school resumes following an AMI day. Clarksville Schools will continue its commitment to following all aspects of IDEA and ADA in the implementation of the AMI plan.
